Privacy Policy

Draft: pending legal review. This document may change before launch.

Last updated: 2026-09-29

Bridera Concierge ("Bridera", "we", "us"), operated by [Company legal name], respects your privacy. Because matchmaking involves highly personal information, we aim to collect and use it responsibly and transparently. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us process it, where it is stored, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

  • Account details: name, email address, password (stored only as a hash), phone number, date of birth, country and address, and your sign-up and consent records.
  • Questionnaire answers: your profile, lifestyle, family, education, work, and relationship preferences, and what you are looking for in a partner.
  • Sensitive information: some answers reveal cultural or ethnic background, religion or spirituality, sexual orientation or gender identity, and relationship or family circumstances. Under laws such as Indonesia's PDP Law and the California Consumer Privacy Act, this is sensitive personal information.
  • Photos you upload to your profile.
  • Membership and payment records: plan, status, renewal dates, and payment confirmations. Card details are collected by Stripe and are never stored by us.
  • Communications: messages you send through our contact form or by email.
  • Technical and security data: IP address, browser details, and logs of sign-ins and requests, used to protect the service and prevent abuse.

We collect only what is reasonably necessary to provide the Services, protect our members, comply with the law, and run our business.

2. How we use information

  • Create and manage your account, and verify your email.
  • Provide matchmaking services, including reviewing your profile and identifying potential matches.
  • Process payments and manage your membership, including renewal reminders and receipts.
  • Communicate with you about your account and respond to support requests.
  • Protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for advertising. We only share selected profile information with a potential match when reasonably necessary to facilitate an introduction, and contact details are not shared without your authorization.

3. Consent for sensitive information and for storage in the United States

When you create an account we ask for your explicit consent to (a) process the sensitive information described above for matchmaking, and (b) store and process your information in the United States. If you live in Indonesia, this consent is required by the Personal Data Protection Law (UU 27/2022) for sensitive data and for transfers of data outside Indonesia. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see section 8); doing so means we can no longer provide the matchmaking service to you.

4. Where your data is stored, and who processes it

Your data is hosted in the United States, on Amazon Web Services infrastructure in the US East (N. Virginia) region, through the providers below. Members are mostly in the United States and Indonesia, so your information is transferred across borders. We rely on data processing agreements with each provider and on your consent for these transfers.

  • Vercel: hosts the website and application servers.
  • Neon: hosts the database that stores your account, answers, and photos.
  • Resend: delivers our emails, such as verification codes and receipts.
  • Stripe: processes membership payments and the billing portal. Stripe acts under its own privacy policy for payment data.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: bot protection on our forms; it may process your IP address and browser signals.

We may add other providers, for example for identity or background verification, and will update this policy and obtain consent where required before doing so. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

5. Retention

  • Accounts that never verify their email are deleted after 30 days.
  • Account data (profile, answers, photos, sessions) is deleted when you delete your account.
  • Stripe keeps payment records for as long as tax and accounting laws require; we keep only the minimum payment references we need for the same purpose.
  • Security and server logs are kept for a limited period needed to detect and investigate abuse.
  • Contact messages are kept while we handle your request and for a reasonable period afterward.

Where the law requires us to keep certain information longer, we keep only what is required.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and restricted staff access. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

7. Deleting your account and downloading your data

Sign in and go to /member/account to download a copy of your data (account, answers, and photos) or to delete your account. Deleting your account cancels your subscription and permanently removes your profile, answers, photos, and sessions. Payment records held by Stripe are kept as described above.

8. Your rights

We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Bridera is for adults and not designed for anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child, we will delete it.
